God, horrible effects for that, and even they know that their effects would suck, because they trimmed down Sheevas scenes.Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts Log in sign up User account menu 14 Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997).
It reminded me of a WWE special. Watch Mortal Kombat Annihilation 123S Movie In MyYes there are flaws to it, but I let them go because it was such a special movie in my childhood. The games were too. I remember in 1999, 2000, I played Trilogy on N64, and I battled my mothers boyfriend at the time. I watched the movie some time later, I cant recall what year exactly. Did so on August, which was coincidentally around the 20th anniversary of its release. Fucking loved it I cant believe I never complained about it being PG-13, but damn it was so good. I dont think its in bad movie territory, I think its a genuinely good movie. In a sea of noted bad video game movies, that genre is just a cesspool, and Mortal Kombat to me is the one shining piece of a treasure chest of dung. But Street Fighter is a great piece of shit I love that movie for its faults. Now, Annihilation I think its 6040. However, 60 was hilariously bad, 40 was just bad. This year has been a banner one for me, as I discover how fun it is to watch so bad its good movies. So Street Fighter returned to my life and made me burst out laughing many times. Annihilation did that. Sometimes. Truly the best part in the film, was the theme music, as Ive since listened to it so many times, sometimes for hours. The CG for the most part is just bad, it hasnt reached the hurdle to be laughable in its low quality. Im a fan of Robin Shou, I think hes underrated and couldve been a nice alternative to Jackie Chan and Jet Li in the 90s00s, but I think this film ruined his American standing. The same year he did Beverly Hills Ninja, and while I think that film is awesome, I think it shows how hed be thought of as an actor. I felt really bad for him in this film, even though how he delivers dialogue is forced, compared to the first movie. Same can be said for Talisa Soto, who is only a few years younger than her movie mother. Jeez. Anyways, those two were the only returning cast members from Mortal Kombat, so I just felt bad for them. He was nice in this film, but I really didnt like the stunt double trickery. That fight scene was just bad, I couldnt get over the darker hair. Both kicked ass, but this womans dialogue and delivery was pretty bad.
